Nothing Phone 2a launch timeline and price tipped

Tipster Yogesh Brar has claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Nothing Phone 2a will make its debut at the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February. Brar further claims that the device might cost $400, which is approximately Rs 33,200 when converted to Indian currency.

The cited source has also shared images of a Production Validation Test (PVT) unit, that showcases a redesigned back panel. For those unfamiliar, PVT units are typically manufactured in limited quantities during the production process to evaluate functionalities, hardware components, and adherence to quality standards.

As for the design, the leaked images showcase the typical punch-hole notch display on the front of the purported Nothing Phone 2a. In contrast, the back panel seemingly has a novel design element with a horizontally placed camera module at the top center, deviating from the established design observed in previous iterations of Nothing smartphones.

Complementing the overhauled back panel, the tipster claims that we could get to see a redesigned Glyph Interface for the Nothing Phone 2a. This revamped interface is expected to provide Glyph controls akin to those featured in the Nothing Phone (2).

The upcoming Nothing Phone 2a is said to offer an OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate support, something that we see in many mid-range phones in India. A previous leak suggested that the device could sport a 6.7-inch panel. Under the hood, we could see a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC if the leaks are to be believed.
