NIFT 2024 Registration Window to End on January 3, Check Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must note that the NIFT 2024 application form must be submitted before the deadline, which has been set for January 3, 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon close the online applications for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Entrance Test 2024. Candidates who are yet to apply can visit the official website of NIFT at nift.ac.in and apply for the NIFT 2024 entrance exam registration. Candidates must note that the application form must be submitted before the deadline, which has been set for January 3, 2024.

Candidates, on the other hand, may submit their application by January 8 with a late fee. In addition to that the candidates can edit their applications from January 10 to January 12, 2024. It is to be noted that the admit card will be released by the NTA in the third week of January 2024.

Furthermore, the Computer Based Test (CBT) Entrance Examination for all UG and PG programmes will take place on February 5, 2024, across 60 Indian cities. The NIFT entrance test 2024 will consist of the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). The GAT will be administered entirely online, whereas the NIFT 2024 CAT will be held in a paper-based test format.

NIFT 2024: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent from a recognised board or institution for BDes and BF.Tech courses. On the other hand, candidates pursuing M.Des and M.F.Tech courses should possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in the relevant discipline. However, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or diploma in any subject for M.F.M programmes.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit has been set at 23 years as of August 1, 2024, for bachelor’s courses (B.Des and B.F.Tech). However, candidates who fall under the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Person with Disabilities (PWD) categories may be eligible for a five-year relaxation of the maximum age limit. It is important to note that for applicants to the M.Des, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M programmes, there is no upper age restriction.

NIFT 2024: HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Navigate to the official website of NIFT at nift.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the NIFT 2024 Application form link available and enter your name, email address, and phone number in the form.

Step 3: Complete the application form with the necessary information and academic details required.

Step 4: Select your preferred exam location for the NIFT 2024 admission exam.

Step 5: Upload the scanned documents in the relevant size and format as specified in the form.

Step 6: After filling out the form, submit the application form and pay the application fee.

Step 7: Print a copy of your NIFT 2024 application form and save it for future reference.

NIFT 2024: APPLICATION FEE

Candidates belonging to Open/Open-EWS/OBC (NCL) need to pay an application fee of Rs 3000 to register themselves for NIFT 2024. The application fee is Rs 1500 for candidates falling under the SC, ST, and PwD categories. For Open/Open-EWS/OBC (NCL) applicants registering for both the B.Des. and B.F.Tech. programmes, the application fee is Rs 4500. Applicants who are SC, ST, or PwD and are applying for the B.Des and B.F.Tech courses must pay an application fee of Rs. 2,500.
