Taj Mahotsav 2024: 10-Day Carnival Begins Today; Hot-Air Balloon Rides To Bollywood Nights, What To Expect

The 10-day Taj Mahotsav begins today, that is, February 17. The festival will kickstart in the evening with the presentation of ‘Braj-style Holi’ and bhajan by Siddharth Mohan in Shilpgram.

Artisans from all over India will take part in the carnival which will end on February 27. Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh will formally inaugurate Taj Mahotsav on Sunday.

Artists from Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh have begun traveling to the Taj Mahotsav, which is held under the theme “With the colours of Taj Mahotsav, and the resolve of developed India.” Programs at Shilpgram, Sursadan, Sadar Bazaar, Sur Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, Atal Udyan, Taj Pew Point, and Yamuna Aarti site will be held during Mahotsav.

Major Attractions Of Taj Mahotsav 2024

In addition, the festival will draw crowds with attractions like Bird Watching, Hot Air Balloon Ride, Kite Festival, Bhajan, Ghazal, Kavi Sammelan, Mushaira, Bollywood Night, Comedy, Taj Car Rally, and Bike Rally. However, visitors have to wait a little more to enjoy free hot-air balloon rides due to non-receipt of NOC. Earlier, hot-air balloon rides were about to start from February 18.

The dance play Meera will be performed in Surasadan on Saturday, the first day of the festival. In the evening, Aman Kul Hind Mushaira will be arranged. Dr. Popular Meerthi, Aijaz Ansari, Azm Shakiri, Vijay Tiwari, Mumtaz Naseem, Altamash Abbas, Prof. Wasim Barelvi, Tahir Faraz, Dil Tajmahali, Aqeel Nomani, Athar Shakeel, and Dr. The Mushaira will not charge admission.

However, the main stage is not expected to be ready even on Saturday. Indian culture-themed selfies are being taken during the festival at Shri Ram Temple. Stalls are being set up in addition to the swings being installed.
