SBI launches Youth for India fellowship programme, open for applications

SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of the State Bank Group, has opened applications for the 12th batch of the SBI Youth for India Fellowship programme, offering a unique opportunity for youth to make a difference in rural India.

ELIGIBILITY

The programme, commencing on May 13, is open to Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), as well as citizens of Bhutan and Nepal, dedicated to furthering sustainable development goals in rural areas.

Participants, aged between 21 to 32 years, will collaborate with rural communities and reputed NGOs across India for a period of 13 months.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process includes submission of personal details, educational qualifications, work experience, and responses to questions about personal life experiences.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a personal interview to assess their suitability for the programme. Final selection will be based on performance in the online assessment, interview, and overall suitability.

Selected candidates will receive an offer letter and must confirm their acceptance within a specified period. Following acceptance, they will attend an orientation programme before embarking on their fellowship journey.

Through this programme, urban youth will work alongside rural communities to drive meaningful societal change.

The SBI Youth for India programme has seen enthusiastic participation from young Indians in major cities, as well as OCIs, and citizens of Nepal and Bhutan.

With a growing alumni network of over 580 individuals, the programme has impacted over 1,50,000 lives across 250+ villages in 20 states of India.
